Pre-Inspection
We don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to cleaning. Each rug that comes through our doors is pre-inspected to determine its overall condition, assess the soil level, identify odors, mark the location of spots and stains, look for pet urine damage, physical damage or wear that may affect our ability to safely clean the textile, or to note any other concerns you may have about your area rugs before cleaning.
Dry Soil Removal
Before your rugs reach our wash floor, we use a deep harmonic vibration vacuuming process to break up the impacted gritty dirt found at the base of the fibers of your area rugs. This is the stuff that weekly vacuuming can’t reach. When we are able to loosen up those soils, we are able to achieve the best possible results on the wash floor!
Rug Washing
Twin City Rug Spa washes each rug individually. They are never co-mingled in a tub. In doing this, we avoid all cross-contamination. No loose dyes, dirty water, or pet waste from another rug will ever touch your rugs. We only use fresh, clean water and cleaning solutions that are designed specifically to be harm-free for wool and other specialty fibers. If a rug cannot be wet washed, we are able to alter our cleaning methods to meet the needs of each rug.
Rinsing & Drying
Once your rug has been washed, it needs to be rinsed free of all suds and dried. Each rug is rinsed until the water runs clear, ensuring that no soapy residues are left behind, and we take the extra precaution of drying your rugs flat so that we are able to virtually eliminate any risk of dyes bleeding during the drying process.
Pet Urine & Odor Removal
Area rugs absorb and hold odors. Pet accident odors are especially difficult to treat at home. If your rugs are a bit smelly, don’t be embarrassed!
Our odor removal process is GUARANTEED to eliminate the worst pet urine odors from your rugs. We treat the odors at the source – by eliminating the bacteria that causes the odor.
Occasionally, we run across an area rug that is so badly pet urine damaged, it is beyond saving. In these select few cases, we will likely recommend replacement over cleaning.
